Avatars Help Build Communities

Hi Guys,

If you follow the EzineArticles blog, you’ll see that they’ve adopted “Gravatars” on their site.

It’s a fantastic thing because it allows you to see everyone who is commenting on EzineArticle’s site/blog automatically when they post.

You can see my Gravatar if you scroll through the many comments on their blog post here:

Gravatars come to EzineArticles

Why do this?

Because on the Internet, putting a face to a name really helps.

I know some of our members do have their avatars up in the private forum and I’m hoping many more of you will follow suit.

I didn’t want to be a hypocrite so my avatar is now up as well as Amie’s. :-)

If you have a picture, please upload your avatar.

This video will show you how to do that in our private forum.

Dan Ho is the founder of AffiliateArticleWriters.com, where he teaches hundreds of students how to generate lifetime income through affiliate marketing. Dan Ho is also personally passionate about working out and natural health in his spare time. He is a stay-at-home dad to three young children.

So far I’m liking the videos Dan! You said being in front of a camera is outside of your comfort zone, but actually you seem like you’ve been doing this for years (even though this is your first time) :). Great job!

    Hi Franklin,

Thanks for your feedback. Much appreciated.

Right now I just have my puppies for my avatar but once I find a decent and recent picture of myself I’ll be sure to put it up :)

Wow – this is phenomenal. I mean it’s not common to have the experience of being an internet marketer and having matters this personalized, in terms of communicating. I have found often enough to feel ‘alone in the internet world’ which you have to really focus on to stay connected to sometimes, because you ‘can feel alone’ although you know there’s thousands of people doing the same thing you are. Thanks Dan for the excellent and simple to follow instructions with the board – I loved that – and I also pick up things a lot quicker this way! I’ll be posting my gravatar as soon as I have a photo.

Thanks Dan for promoting the avatars. Everyone was using them before you migrated to the new forum and then they fell by the waste side. Glad to see everyones face again.
